We will undertake observations targeting previously unobserved biochemical processes in the ocean to construct high-resolution ecosystem models. We will also consider the effect of physical phenomena and undertake simulations to forecast changes in complex ocean ecosystems.
Background
The marine ecosystems that support our global environment are constantly impacted by natural phenomena and human activities, such as seasonal changes and pollution. However, quantitatively grasping how these factors affect marine ocean systems remains a challenge.
