Dental implant surgery is just like any other minor oral surgical procedure. So whatever we advice to consume or eat after a simple extraction or a minor surgery the same resume the patient should follow. Generally we advice the patient to follow the instructions we give after any simple minor surgical surgical procedure or extraction procedure in the mouth. Generally we tell the patient to keep the cotton or gauze for 30 minutes that is basically to arrest the bleeding. Then patient can have some ice cream or cold juice which patient will feel better of having and he should follow the diet which should be non spicy, which is not hot and soft diet. We ask the patient to avoid biting hard food from the site where the procedure was done. These are the simple instructions we give. If you have performed some exceptional surgery or special surgery of implants like sinus lift or something we ask the patient to take some additional precautions like not to blow through the nose or ask the patient to have some hot water or luke warm water gargle. Patient should also follow the antibiotic regime which we prescribe. Definitely after the implant surgery the patient should follow non-spicy, not very hot, warm, soft diet. This is the regime generally we advice the patient.
