A big question in compute is who is going to challenge for NVIDIA's crown. Right now the team from the green is making more money than ever, so who can compete? AMD's bet is the MI300X, a chip the company recently launched at their event and I had the chance to play with it in person. We have speeds, feeds, and some rough benchmark numbers. AMD also claims to be making $2B in revenue on this chip alone in 2024.
