The Blue Circular Economy is a transnational project funded by the Northern
Periphery and Arctic Programme, that helps Small and Medium-Sized
enterprises (SMEs) offering products and services, within fishing gear
recycling solutions, to attain a greater market reach.
In this video you can learn more about the problem posed by discarded fishing gear, and the steps which are being taken to help remove it from our oceans. You can also learn about the exciting opportunities offered through the recovery and recycling of discarded gear, and see what companies are already doing to capitalise on these opportunities while also helping to tackle the problem of marine debris.
The video also offers an insight into the roles to be played by different stakeholders in every step of the process from recovery, to recycling, to production of new products from recycled materials.
