Think about a typical classroom day. We have to follow the clock all day long. We are on a schedule for math, English, science, etc. But that "schedule" has no respect for the innate variability of humans. Some of us finish quick. Some of us take longer. No one is exactly the "normal" version of that clock-based learning.

We need to shift our focus from the clock to the humans we are working with. We can individualize education for each student while working in a group.

If we really want to democratize education, we need to start training people to be leaders rather than followers.
