A transporter malfunction creates two versions of Captain Kirk; one carries all of Kirk's positive traits whilst the other represents all that is negative about him. Naturally work presses ahead in the pursuit of putting both Kirks back to where they belong but in the interrim there is much debate regarding what each of these traits contribute to a Kirk's ability to function as a leader.
