MC Barry White, formerly one half of the duo Desi G & Barry White and the Bad Boyz, was a unique figure in the music scene. In the MC Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Barrington White, as he is affectionately known to a select few, holds the record for indeed being the last MC standing from that golden era. In his first sit-down interview, Set The Trend Boys discusses his musical beginnings, style origination, his partnership with his older brother Desi G, the break-up, his family and his future, his journey from Sir Lloyd, High Tension, Touch of Class, Latest Edition, Bad Boyz and then onto his solo MC career.
A one-time look into a distinguished, sometimes controversial, but a career littered with jokes, fun, memorable moments and lyrics. A man who not only inspired but also shaped a generation of MCs from Soul to Jungle to Garage - Barry White - Salute...
