U.S. President Barack Obama was cheered by a thousands-strong crowd at the Safaricom arena in Nairobi today (right), as he told Kenyans that the future of their country is in their hands and urged them to 'choose the path to progress'. It is the first time that an American president has visited the country during his term in office. Billing himself as America’s first Kenyan-American president, Mr Obama was introduced by his half-sister Auma. The president targeted his speech at the country’s young people and leaders of the future.
