In May 2014, the World Bank Group together with WHO, countries and other development partners published the Global CRVS Scaling Up Investment Plan for 2015 to 2024. Efforts are now underway to develop a global CRVS programme to support national CRVS improvement strategies in 75 priority countries. This session will provide a platform for delegates to discuss how countries can effectively implement the Ministerial Declaration to ‘Get every one in the picture’ and the regional action framework for civil registration and vital statistics in Asia and the Pacific. The topics covered will include mobilizing financial resources, effective ways donors and development partners can support countries, how political commitment can be solidified, effective engagement with civil society and the private sector, and monitoring and accountability for progress.
