FEELING ZANTE - first day, new island

In all justice to my first day on a new island, it was always going to live in the shadow of the paradise that I just recently left. The 5-star hotel on the island of Patmos was an impeccable luxury oasis and the friendly family hugs that I received upon arrival have set the bar at a absurd height of expectation.

I pride myself on researching great hotel experiences that suit my needs and I was eager to close out my 3-week whirlwind around the Greek Islands at the alluring Hotel KouKounaria on the ALYKES side of the island of Zakynthos. Well, those alluring pictures are from the "renovated" side of the hotel and I was rooming in the badly beat up side. The website reads.. “A stone’s throw away from a beautiful beach, the KOUKOUNARIA hotel offers newly renovated, modern, spacious rooms and has been described as a true gem by guests.” Oh, it was a gem alright! Luckily, my time in the room will be limited.


Production Note: even though I've never had a concern about channel popularity... keep in mind that if the YouTube page had more subscribers these camera and electronic companies would offer a lesser repair bill. Your assistance in spreading the word about THE VLOG is appreciated.
