Liberal MP Julian Leeser resigned as shadow attorney general and shadow minister for Indigenous Australians, less than a week after the Liberals confirmed they will oppose an Indigenous voice to parliament in the constitution. 'I've had many respectful discussions with colleagues about the voice over the past year. I've listened to their views and they've heard mine, but ultimately I haven't been able to persuade them,' Leeser said. The move was welcomed by fellow Liberals who support the voice, including MP Bridget Archer and senator Andrew Bragg
