Make sure all 4 major parts match on a Walther P.38.

The slide, frame, and barrel will have the full serial number (including letter suffix if applicable). While the locking block will just have the last 3 digits, the block should also be unfinished or bare steel, that is "still in the white". If the block is not unfinished then you can determine that it must have been re-blued, refinished, or touched-up at some point.
