Why hasn’t this quirky and fun-to-drive French compact hatch caught on in Australia? Let’s find out 👉Full Review: [ Ссылка ]
The 2021 Citroen C3 is categorised in the same premium ($25K-plus) compact hatchback segment as the MINI Cooper and Audi A1, but it really needs to rival the cheaper slightly bigger Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Fabia.
Although its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol three-cylinder engine is a real charmer and its interior and exterior design is bold and daring, this French looker is just too expensive to combat its European competitors.
Sure, it’s got a funky cabin design plenty of features, but with just one model grade priced at over $30,000 once on-road costs are factored in, you’d either have to be a Francophile or a lover of unorthodox car designs to get really excited about it.
Australians bought more Ferraris than Citroens in 2020, which says a lot about the French brand’s relevance here. By the same token, owning a Citroen now means you have one of the rarest cars on the road. Viva la individuality!
