Only 0.3% of the water available on the surface of the earth is fit for use. There are billions of people around the world who don't have access to safe drinking water. This number will increase in the future. Therefore, the conversion of waste water into potable water will be a major theme going forward. The Indian Government is now focused on building the water infrastructure by initiatives such as Jal Jivan Mission and Namami Gange. Countries such as the US, UK, Singapore and Indonesia are also doing major investments towards building a water infrastructure.
