Restive residents of Bapu Dham colony in Sector 26 came out onto the streets protesting against their continued containment even as Chandigarh reported a Covid death, taking the toll to six.
The Union territory also reported a new coronavirus case pushing the total number of cases to 353.
Bapu Dham Colony reported a new case of the contagion, taking the total of active cases in the UT to 53.
Residents of the colony, which is a containment zone and has reported the majority of the cases in Chandigarh, thronged the roads to protest the restrictions on Monday and urged to the administration to lift them.
The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
