Documentary BARAKA (Ron Fricke) Movie Review: Interpretation, Meaning
Baraka is an American non-narrative documentary film from 1992 which was directed by Ron Fricke. It was filmed by only 5 people, over a period of 14 months, in 24 different countries. Although it is called a documentary, it is more of an art work. It’s like a profound but detailed painting of the human spirit and our creation.
This movie gives you some kind of opportunity. An opportunity to view the world from many different perspectives. Baraka is an Arabic word for blessing, essence, or breath and this is what the movie represents.
