Finding the best aperture at all focal lengths will ensure the best image quality for the camera. I have done the sequence testing from 24mm to 720mm (35mm equivalent) using tripod, IS turned OFF and manual focused for each new zoom setting. It is interesting to see the early onset of diffraction limited resolution in this camera. However knowing where it starts is key to getting super sharp images
