The NSS unit of Brainware University organised an awareness campaign on anti-drug. Soma Shaw, WBCS, SDO, Barasat Sadar; Sougata Patra, WBCS, BDO, Barasat-I Block; Anirban Ghosh, Jt. BDO, Barasat- I Block; Dr. Abhijeet Dey, Block Medical Officer of Health, Chhota Jagulia were present at the programme.
The effect of substance abuse is highest on the psychological health of adolescents with the possibility of developing substance use disorder, leading to major behaviour changes observed, including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, thought disorders such as schizophrenia, as well as personality disorders.
