Pancharama Temples are also known as the Panchayatana Kshetra. These are Swayambhu temples. According to puranas, Kartikeya broke a Shiva Lingam and fixed it in these five places with the help of Surya deva.
During the Karthikamasam (the month dedicated to Lord Kartikeya), many devotees undertake pilgrimages to these sacred sites to offer their prayers and seek blessings. The five Shiva Swayambhu temples, commonly referred to as the Pancharamas, are:
02:24 - Amararama Temple ( Palnadu district, AP )
09:06 - Somarama Temple (Bhimavaram, West Godavari, AP )
11:58 - Ksheerarama Temple ( Palakollu, West Godavari, AP)
15:04 - Draksharama Temple ( Draksharamam, East Godavari, AP)
15:21 - Kumararama Temple ( Samarlakota, East Godavari, AP )
It is common for devotees to plan a visit to all five temples in one day, known for providing darshan (viewing) of the deities. This pilgrimage offers spiritual fulfillment and is a way to honor and connect with Lord Shiva, particularly during the auspicious month of Karthikamasam. The journey is often seen as a means to receive blessings and spiritual merit
