Goa hosted the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) from November 20, 2022 to November 28, 2022.
The international film festival in Goa saw International and Indian stars like Ajay Devgn, Sara Ali Khan, Rishab Shetty, Varun Dhawan, Rajkumar Rao, Randeep Hooda, Ileana D’cruz, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Sharman Joshi, Rana Daggubati, Ayushmann Khurrana, Esha Gupta, Manushi Chillar, Kartik Aryan, Amruta Khanvilkar, etc.
Over 280 films from 79 countries which were showcased at IFFI 2022.
Films like ‘The Storyteller’, ‘Drishyam 2’, ‘Lost’, ‘Goldfish’, ‘Qala’, ‘Bhediya’, ‘Tere Kya Hoga Lovely’, ‘India Lockdown’, etc. had their premieres at IFFI 2022.
The Spanish film, ‘I Have Electric Dreams’, bagged the ‘Golden Peacock’ at the film festival in Goa. Renowned Iranian writer-director, Nader Saiwar, won the Silver Peacock Award for Best Director for his film, 'No End'.
The Austrian film, ‘Alma and Oskar’, directed by Dieter Berner, was the opening film of the festival, and the Polish film ‘Perfect Number’ was the closing film of the star-studded festival.
