Here, national crop nutrition technical manager, Edward Downing walks through our 3D Thinking nutrition trials where the focus is a very different type of fertiliser product.
The product is an organo-mineral fertiliser, which means is has an organic base such as livestock manure, digestate or even a waste product. It is then fortified with some mineral fertiliser to increase the nutritional value of the product.
The trials have been created to review different fertiliser rates and inputs, with the ultimate aim being to see how this new type of fertiliser performs in comparison to more standard products. The data will be really useful ahead of these products coming to market in the next few years.
