The word 'Cutlet' is derived from the French word 'cötelette' and was a typical
starter/appetizer in French Cuisine. Later they became very popular worldwide and were made in numerous ways. Veg cutlets are popular in Indian cuisine and are made with vegetables like potatoes, carrots, peas, herbs and spices. Like the traditional cutlets, our vegetable cutlets are breaded and fried until golden crisp. These Vegetable Cutlets are the perfect way to include many vegetables in your kids' diet. They're quick and simple but sure to be a hit at parties!
Ingredients:
4-5 Medium sized Boiled Potatoes
Chopped Vegetables of your choice (Carrots, French Beans, Peas, Corn, Bell peppers, onion etc.)
2-3 Tbsp Bread Crumbs
1/4th Cup Poha (Flattened Rice)
Salt to Taste
Fresh Coriander Chopped 2 tbsp
Fresh Chopped Green Chillies (1-2 Nos) According to spice preference
1 Tbsp of Kashmiri red Chilly powder for colour
1 tbsp of Amchur Powder
Chilly Flakes (optional)
Oil for Frying
For coating :
1. Plain all-purpose flour (Maida)
2. Thin Slurry of Maida and Water
3. Roasted Vermicelli
