Deep within the heart of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, a company of foreign Mercenaries fight to earn their keep, and survive the harsh realities of this unforgiving land.

The Sunk Cost is a film comprised of authentic, organic moments on the StalkerZ DayZ server, that were recorded from my own perspective as a player in the Mercenary faction. Every PDA message is comprised of in-character Discord messages sent at the time, and some of the videos are actual in-character PDA messages and announcements.

Some offline cinematics and additional voice lines have been recorded to bridge the moments that happen off screen, and help tie together an 8-month long journey into something truly special. I hope you enjoy!
