I made my own transom riser, but was confident in it's design. Got a Vance jack plate, allowed me to run the cavitation plate flush. First run here at Cherry Creek in Denver which is at 5400' elevation give or take. Boat jumped up to 20mph with a 13 pitch and 22mph with 11 pitch. I'm a happy customer, this unit is very well built, I could not build it for the 200$.
