Upon the installation of Shree Laxminarayan Dev in Vadtal (on Kartik Sud- 12, Samvat 1881), Swaminarayan Bhagwan gave an extraordinary promise to his devotees. He declared that whoever comes to Vadtal on every Poonam (full moon day) and does darshan of Shree Laxminarayan Dev, all of their worldly wishes will be fulfilled and they will attain Akshardham at the end of their life (Bhukti & Mukti).
