In this video, I will show you what happens when you uninstall or delete WhatsApp from your smartphone without deleting your account.
To permanently be deleted from WhatsApp, you must first navigate to the specific option within the app that deletes the account linked to your phone number.
Let’s begin.
1. Your profile information will remain visible
Deleting WhatsApp from your phone does not remove your own user profile: your photo and status remain retrievable by anyone who has your number in their contact list. Your presence in groups also remains unaffected, meaning that chats that include a user who has uninstalled WhatsApp remain; they are not automatically deleted.
2. Messages will be frozen
Basically, uninstalling WhatsApp without first deleting the account is the same as leaving the phone off for several days. In fact, if you reinstall the app and log in again with your phone number, WhatsApp will forward you all messages received since the uninstallation. The process may take a few minutes, but once you have handled the backlog of notifications, the situation will be back to exactly the same as before the app was deleted.
3. After 4 months, your profile will be deleted
When you uninstall WhatsApp from your phone, after 120 days of your last login, the platform disables your account because it is considered dormant. The phone number associated with the account is disconnected from the service and automatically exits from the groups of which it is a part.
