In this video James explains the advantages and disadvantages of monopods and tripods which are essential for photography and videography.

These tools both have fluid heads and are both very high quality and stable. The monopod Is made by manfrotto and the tripod is the velbon video-mate 638. We would highly recommend both of these items.

We would say that the decision on which one is better is mostly dependent on what you use your camera for. So for example the monopod might be more ideal if you film lots at events or do travel photography. Whereas the tripod might be more effective if you are based in one area and don't move around much. Or if you require additional stabiltiy.

These products are both relatively cheap and budget so these are very much ideal for beginner photographers and videographers.
