Motore a combustione interna a quattro tempi a stantuffi rotanti senza valvole di aspirazione e di scarico. Brevetto Invenzione Industriale n°1233456 a nome Ing. Michele Rutigliano. Il motore a stantuffi rotanti è un motore a combustione interna a quattro tempi, funzionante secondo i cicli Otto e Diesel. Esso è conformato da 1 Cassa Statorica in cui gira n°1 Rotore; il Rotore porta in rotazione 3 Cilindri che compiono ognuno n°4 fasi cicliche, e quindi 4 fasi di scoppio, in n°1 giro del Rotore. Il moto è trasmesso a n°1 albero motore eccentrico, con vincolo cinematico al Rotore. I vantaggi oggettivi, rispetto i tradizionali motori alternativi a quattro tempi, sono cosi' esemplificati: - eliminazione di tutti i cinematismi della distribuzione; - assenza delle valvole di aspirazione e di scarico; - presenza di una camera di combustione con spiccate caratteristiche di adiabaticità; - incremento del moto del meccanismo di spinta sullo stantuffo, in fase di espansione gas, in cui si generano e si sommano i momenti motore: *uno generato dalla forza trasmessa sulla biella diretta sul suo asse e reagente sul bottone di manovella; *l'altro generato dalla forza laterale di spinta della biella diretta sulla parete del cilindro (rotante) e reagente sul complesso statore-rotore; - elevazione del regime di rotazione, per la geometria del motore e la disposizione delle luci di aspirazione e di scarico gas; - limitazione dei consumi e notevole incremento della potenza specifica. Il motore a stantuffi rotanti, presenta dimensioni particolarmente contenute e compatte grazie alla sua "architettura" innovativa, alla geometria improntata al "superquadro" ed alla grande esemplificazione meccanica e costruttiva.
