Recent online streaming of the Broadway hit “Hamilton” has introduced the revolutionary musical to a new audience and generated interest in the title character, Alexander Hamilton. While fans of the musical know him as the “10-dollar founding father” who served in the Revolutionary War and helped frame the Constitution, Hamilton was also the nation’s first central banker.
