1st Division Semi Finals will show Belarus, China, Azerbaijan and Serbia competing.
Races of the semi-final relay "Tank Biathlon" start today at the Alabino training ground near Moscow. Teams from Azerbaijan, Belarus, China and Serbia are the first to compete for a place in the final.
During the team relay race, three crews of each national team take turns going through the competition track on one tank. The order of overcoming the track is determined by lot one hour before the start. There are four route options in total. Moving along the track, the crews must hit 24 targets and cover almost 50 kilometers of distance. A special feature of the relay is flanking fire on the move at tank targets over a 400-meter long section. This is the most difficult element of tank biathlon.
