Use Cinnamon to create this faux rust look!

Begin with a dark base color. Then working in sections, use a sponge to lightly dab brown paint onto your project. Before the paint dries, press ground cinnamon into the paint. It doesn't need to cover everything completely. The more random, the better.
Optional: Once everything is dry, seal with matte/flat clear coat of your choice.
