Dr. Noris Ledesma has been the curator at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens for 17 years & has had the opportunity to travel the globe in search of new discoveries in relation to tropical fruit species & varieties. She has co-authored multiple books, publications and has been featured in some of our favorite documentaries, including "Fruit Hunters." Dr. Ledesma's role is what has inspired us to hunt for fruits, in a more local away (sticking to the tropical fruits in Florida, for now.)
We feel very fortunate to have had permission to film an intimate press conference during "MangoFest" at the Gardens this past weekend. In this footage, you will hear about the mangoes of the past, present and future; covering the Heritage of early Florida-grown mangos & The more recent progress that Dr. Ledesma and her team have made in genetic enhancements through pollination and grafting (not GMO's). The purpose of her research is to improve the lives of growers & create a very unique flavor profile, as well as disease resistance.

In tomorrow's segment, we will share our one-on-one interview with her, where we talk about The possibilities of Jackfruits. You will also find some footage of our walk through the festival & the gardens.
We are experimenting with several mango varieties in our farm, 30 miles north of Tampa & have also installed many Mango trees for our clients in the surrounding area. To learn about our services and nursery inventory, you can find that here: [ Ссылка ]
