The Hot Wheels Legends Tour made a stop in the Motor City on July 13, 2024. Mattel, the manufacturer of the diecast Hot Wheels toy cars, hosts a number of Tour stops around the world where people can have their unique customized vehicles judged for the chance to have it selected to be replicated into a 1:64 Hot Wheels diecast car to appear on store shelves. On display were some the cars already selected in past years to be modeled into toys as well as local hopefuls that are seeking to be crowned a Hot Wheels Legend in 2024. The Hot Wheels Legend Tour is sponsored by Mobil 1 and Walmart.
