On Tuesday, King Charles of Britain participated in a special Advent service at Farm Street Church to mark the 10th anniversary of Islamic State invasion of Mosul and the Nineveh Plains in northern Iraq. This event recognized the resilience and bravery of Christian communities affected by the conflict. Following the service, King Charles engaged with representatives from Aid to the Church in Need and various charitable groups supported by the Church that focus on community outreach and aid for the homeless. Additionally, the ACN reported that during the event, the King met with members of the Iraqi Christian diaspora based in London, including individuals who endured persecution and displacement due to Daesh's takeover of the Nineveh Plains.
