I have chosen to focus on the topic of sustainability for my moving image project. Sustainable fashion is very important as clothing production consumes mass amounts of water as well as pollutes freshwater with toxic chemicals. In addition, about 85% of our clothing ends up in landfills or is burned which is extremely bad for the environment.

By practicing sustainable fashion; such as thrifting or consignment, purchasing smart, not supporting sweatshops and poor working conditions, as well as shopping locally, we are able to prevent the further destruction of our planet.

This video features various sustainable fall outfits. Every article of clothing or accessory shown is either thrifted, consignment, purchased on Depop, bought locally, or a staple piece that I have worn countless times. The purpose is to show that sustainable outfits can be cute and worn for every occasion. Fast fashion trends don't need to be the root you take, sustainable fashion can be just as good, if not better.
