ACTIVE Family Holidays in Abruzzo, is for children growing up to be responsible adults, and for parents who still feel young from within. This trip is designed for families who want to explore the Majella National Park's natural beauty and discover why we are so passionate about this beautiful region.
We aim to use 100% locally owned and run businesses for all of our external requirements. These include all of our activity suppliers for canoe trips, bike hire, horse riding etc, our accommodations and the places that we stop for meals and shopping. All of these businesses are based in the nearby town Caramanico Terme or in the village of Decontra. Settle down by the Waterfall of La Cicterna* under the Mountains or Get the necessary skills to find the way in nature's embrace, learn about scouting the woods of the old, canyon in the forgotten river and cycle the secluded shepherd's roads and muletracks around the Valle Giumentina. Paddle down the Tirino River and end the day camping around an open fire.... or visit the Adriatic Sea, only 40 min drive away.
