Big Brother UK has edited an episode of its show this week to censor the watermelon symbol on a contestant’s shirt and apologised to viewers that may have been “offended” by the pro-Palestine image.
The move came after the Campaign Against Antisemitism organisation complained that the symbol “caused significant distress among the British Jewish community, who regard it as a genocidal message”.
