We consider every veteran and first responder in our Salute to Recovery program a member of our battalion, a group formed in the one of the most important moments of each member's life: the beginning of recovery. We know that as a veteran or first responder, you've seen so much more than the average person and you may feel as if your experiences are impossible to understand. In our program, you'll be surrounded by those who do understand, people you can talk to who will just get it. These people will be your community at Desert Hope. From your staff members to your peers, your battalion will be comprised of people who can relate to what you've been through and who will not only support you but hold you accountable. Our hope is that our battalion members will form a bond that won't be easily broken after treatment is complete. This group can seek support from each other not only during treatment but as alumni as they return to their daily lives.
