The MENTARI Programme (Menuju Transisi Energi Rendah Karbon Indonesia/ Towards Indonesia's Low Carbon Energy Transition) is a four-year partnership between the UK Government and the Government of Indonesia started in 2020 to support the uptake of low carbon energy in Indonesia. Led by the British Embassy Jakarta and its partners, with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia as the main counterpart, the program aims to deliver inclusive economic growth, poverty reduction, electricity access, and renewable energy goals in Indonesia.

We work together with the government, financial partners, local communities and other donors to create jobs and deploy low-carbon energy projects and fight climate change. The program works through four main areas: Policy, Brokerage, Demonstration Project and Collaboration & Networking. And we strive to mainstream gender and inclusion throughout all our activities.
