Today I try and make a Japanese side dish called Kinpira Gobo. Kinpira Gobo is a dish made with burdock root that is sautéed in soy sauce and a couple of other simple ingredients. This was my first time making this dish, it was very easy and makes a great accompaniment with a bowl of rice.
INGREDIENTS
1:1 ratio for all ingredients. Adjust sweetness and saltiness to your liking by adding more or less sugar and soy sauce.
Soy sauce
Mirin
Sake
Sesame oil
sesame seeds
sugar
2 stalks of burdock root, peeled and julienned
2 carrots, peeled and julienned
