American Airlines recently placed a large order for 260 new planes to improve their operations. While the 85 orders each for the Airbus A321 Neo and Boeing 737 Max 10 were not particularly noteworthy, the third plane in the order caught everyone’s attention. American Airlines made a record order of 90 Embraer E175 jetliners, with an option for 43 more, surprising many people in the industry.
