As many of you know, I’m a little bit in love with Poland! It’s the country with the most amazing big cities for me.

I wanted to start this series off with one of my favorite countries in Europe, Polskaaa 🇵🇱.

Warsaw 7.5/10
The capital of Poland is vibrant, diverse, and safe! Warsaw is one of the cities in Europe that I’ve spent the most time in, and I can confidently say that it’s a fantastic city.

It only gets a 7.5 because it’s not the most beautiful city in Poland. I assume the reason for that is the same as for my hometown, Rotterdam—the Second World War.

Gdańsk 8.5/10
The biggest coastal city of Poland is Gdańsk! The first time I arrived here, I had to check if I wasn’t back home in the Netherlands. The architecture is similar to traditional Amsterdam architecture.

Gdańsk is a wonderful place. It’s super safe, very beautiful, and there’s a bar or a café for everyone!

Kraków 9/10
Kraków was one of my first solo trips. I was studying in Riga, Latvia, and I wanted to do something CRAZY—fly somewhere on my own!

When I arrived in Kraków, I couldn’t believe my eyes. A city that, first of all, didn’t sleep. Whether it was Tuesday night or Saturday, didn’t matter. And my absolute favorite area of the city was the Jewish quarter, Kazimierz.

Zakopane 6/10
My least favorite place I’ve visited so far in Poland is still a great place to visit 😂. That should tell you how much I like Poland!

Zakopane gets such a low score because it can be crowded, and it’s very commercial.

When I arrived at the top of the mountain, I saw so many little shops and attractions that I couldn’t see the sunset that I wanted to see. Still worth visiting though! Especially the area around Zakopane is beautiful!

Wroclaw 10/10
And now for my favorite city in Poland, Wroclaw! I don’t often visit a city and think: “This must be fake; it cannot be this perfect here.”

Wroclaw has everything I want in a city. It’s safe, beautiful, affordable, and the people are friendly. A must-visit for every Europe traveler!
