In this video, I show a couple of techniques that are essential to painting. These techniques can help you create interesting textures and can be very useful for things like blending and shading. They can be applied using any type of paint. In this video, I’m using acrylic, which is water-based. When using oil paint, simply replace the water with linseed oil. Also in this video, I’m painting a very simple pattern, which is a good thing to try if you’re just learning the techniques. At the end of the video, I show some examples of how I’ve used these techniques in some of my major pieces.
