The hidden gem of the Indian ocean: Rodrigues Island in Mauritius.

This isolated place is for sure on top of my favourite places in the world. Rodrigues is the sister island of Mauritius and is about 600 km east of Mauritius on its own in the ocean. It can only realistically be reached by plane by a direct flight from Air Mauritius. Many locals in Mauritius said that Rodrigues island used to be like Mauritius 20 years ago. This meant that there are no large hotel chains, it truly is immersed in an isolated old world experience with totally virgin beaches. I don’t know about you guys but there’s something very fascinating about taking a trip to the past – Don’t you agree?

Este aislado destino esta en la cima de mis lugares favoritos en el mundo. Rodrigues es la isla hermana de Mauricio y está a unos 600 km al este de Mauricio por sí sola en el océano. Solo se puede llegar realistamente en avión mediante un vuelo directo desde Air Mauritius. Muchos personas en Mauricio me dijeron que Mauricio solía ser como Rodrigues hace 20 años. Esto significa que no hay grandes cadenas de hoteles, este esta realmente inmerso en una experiencia aislada del viejo mundo con playas totalmente vírgenes. No sé ustedes, pero hay algo fascinante en hacer un viaje al pasado. ¿No están de acuerdo?
