I arrived in Sri Lanka on the 12th of May from a country called Bahrain. After the long connecting flight, I felt the weather was too humid but the people really surprised me. Their mannerisms and friendliness kept me on my toes.

First impressions of Sri lanka has been really spectacular so far. The country seems well managed and open to tourists. Sri Lanka being a Buddhist majority country, I can totally experience the values in the very nature of its people or perhaps its how the entire culture seems to be.

I will be trying spicy food, traveling in local Sri Lankan buses and meeting Sri Lankans & tourists alike. Plenty of foreigners (joined by Maria, Juliette, Rosanna & Harry @carrotman1198 ) reside in Sri Lanka now and this seems to be a fresh new start to the country which just recovered from a devastating political & economic crisis.
