On a cold, crisp winter's day in December 1994 I was on duty in Hammersmith Signal Box at the
Midland Railway Centre, Derbyshire. The railway was running to One-Train Working Regulations which meant that the train featured was the only one running that day and therefore there was no other signal box open. Signalling was managed from Hammersmith, where the loco ran round the train before departing for another round trip along the line.
The footage was originally shot on VHSC tape and has now been converted to digital video.
