The Strahov Monastery, with its full name the Royal Canon of the Premonstratensians in Strahov, is the oldest Premonstratensian monastery in Bohemia, founded in 1143, and one of the most important architectural monuments of the Czech Republic. The monastery, whose convent was restored after 1990, also houses the National Literature Memorial, the famous Strahov library and picture gallery are part of the monastery.

The Strahov Library is the historical monastic library of the Royal Premonstratensian Canon in Strahov. It is located in the courtyard of the Strahov Monastery in Prague 1 - Hradcany.

The historical part of the library contains over 200,000 volumes, including over 3,000 manuscripts and 1,500 originals stored in a special repository.

The Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Prague-Stragov is a monastery church attached to the Strahov Monastery of the Order of the Premonstratensian Canons. The baroque basilica is located in the courtyard of the Strahov Monastery in Prague 1 - Hradcany.
