DARPA's Collaborative Operations in Denied Environment system (CODE) is on a clear path to assist deployed service members by enabling collaborative autonomous systems teams to operate in contested and denied environments with minimal human supervision.
DARPA successfully deployed six NASC TigerShark RQ-23A unmanned aerial vehicles during research at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground. The mission tested operational integrity with communications and GPS unavailable.
The NASC RQ-23A TigerShark is the precursor to the TigerShark-XP Remotely Piloted Aircraft. The RQ-23A has performed over 100,000 hours of highly successful Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions in numerous theaters of operation. NASC has integrates new technologies into the TigerShark-XP design to appeal to a broader domestic and global customer base.
