The last time we did a video driving tour of downtown Kitchener, Ontario, Canada was five years ago in 2017. A lot has changed. New buildings have been and are being built, altering the skyline.
The ION Light Rail by Grand River Transit is now complete and fully operational. I believe in the 2017 video, the streets were under construction to bring in the LRT. The trains can be seen at several points in the video.
Also visible in the video is the tent city homeless encampment at the corner of Victoria and Weber. This has been a point of contention in the city for some time and doesn't look to be going anywhere soon.
