Soft drinks began on the fountain in the late 19th century, so it seems fitting to give a shout out to this important part of our business. So what's the difference between selling fountain beverages versus bottles and cans? First, we produce the syrup or concentrate for our carbonated beverages at one of our facilities. Then, if it's destined to be bottled or canned, the concentrate is sent to bottlers. If it's fated for the fountain, we (or our bottler partners) transport it in a plastic "bag-in-box" to our fountain customers like McDonald's, 7-Eleven and Wendy's. Dr Pepper is our most popular brand coming out of fountains nationwide, but you can find Squirt, Canada Dry, Hawaiian Punch, 7UP, Sun Drop, Country Time and Sunkist in many local and regional quick-serve, casual or fine dining restaurants.
